Endothelial Cell Alizarine Data Set

Original and Manual Endothelial Cell Images [.zip] [size: ~7.3 MB]


The dataset consists of 30 images of corneal endothelium acquired from 30 porcine eyes stained with alizarine red and the corresponding manually segmented images.

  • 30 images of corneal endothelium and corresponding 30 manually segmented images.

  • Acquisition instrument: inverse phase contrast microscope (CK 40, Olympus) at 200x magnification and analog camera (SSC-DC50AP, Sony)

  • Mean area assessed per cornea: 0.54 ± 0.07 mm2 (range 0.31 to 0.64 mm2)

  • Image Format: JPEG compressed, 768x576 pixel monochrome digital images
